Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG), is a Web as well as a mobile app, a Digital India initiative of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (in short form MeitY), by the Government of India for access to almost all the important central and state government services through online. The app supports 13-Indian languages and is available for Android, iOS,Windows and Kai-os.
The app is aimed at all citizens of India and offers more than hundreds of services which including, for example- payment, registration, information search and application forms. It is one of the serious steps towards the Digital India initiative, intending to make all the important government services available to the general public of INDIA online & around the clock.
UMANG MOBILE APP
The app was developed by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology with the National e-Governance Division and launched in Nov-2017 by the Prime Minister OF INDIA Ms. Narendra Modi at the Global Conference on Cyberspace in New Delhi the capital of INDIA. At launch the app offered 162 services from 33 state & central government departments and 4 states.
